Use of Housing Society Management Software / Society ERP
Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association (MSWA) & MNS Media recently organised a webinar on a very interesting subject “Digital Transformation on Cooperative Housing Societies” on 26th May 2020.
CA Ramesh Prabhu, Chairman of Maharashtra Societies Welfare Association said that we have more than 100,000 housing societies in Maharashtra and just 10-15% societies have implemented Society Softwares. Therefore, there is very huge market for the Society Software providers and its time they should help Society to understand why such software are needed in Housing Societies / RWAs.

Challenges / Concerns of the Housing Societies
1.How secure our data is as our entire data is available with the third party?
In todays time most of our data are available with 3rd party but to avoid any misuse we have kept many security layers and that we encrypt our data.
2.We have lot of senior citizen who is not able to use the system, how to we handle?
Agree that most of the society will have 10-15% member as Senior Citizen and they would be comfortable with the traditional way of receiving the invoice / notice, hence our software provides and option to print those selected invoice / notice to save 85% wastage.
3.Our bye-laws does not permit us to maintain the digital registers so how this is going to help us?
You will be happy to note that Maharashtra Government realizing the importance of use of Digital Platform recently permitted the use of Virtual Meeting Platform like ZOOM, Google Meet, Whatsapp, etc. for conducting Monthly Managing Committee Meeting and to conduct Training & Education.
In the revised and amended bye-laws it has been allowed to send the notice / agenda etc. can be transmitted electronically.
So, we are hopeful that our government will soon consider this as one of the needs and provide the necessary change.
